Where can I recycle?
On-campus drop-off locations have been set up for students to not only do their part for the environment by keeping their GOOD USED CLOTHES, NON-PERISHABLE FOODS, GOOD FURNITURE, APPLIANCES, and HOUSEWARES out of the landfill, they can also give back to the community.
- OFF-CAMPUS Students and the community are encouraged to take their contributions of Non-Perishable Food to the Ministry Center at 971 South Main. (660-582-6649)
- Clothing and Housewares can be dropped off as always to the Big Brother Big Sister drop-offs at Sutherlands, Wal-Mart, Dollar General North, and Hy-Vee. (660-254-1665)
- Habitat for Humanity Restore is offering curbside pick-up of good used furniture and small appliances at noon daily starting April 28, 2014. (816-279-5607)
Items not accepted
Unfortunately, there are a few items we cannot accept for a variety of reasons, including safety and chemical hazards, inability to repair or clean items, product recalls and high disposal fees. This list may be changed and/or modified as needed to accommodate business needs and trends.
