Why Study Pre-Pharmacy?
The pre-pharmacy program helps students earn a bachelor’s degree and take courses to meet requirements to apply and succeed in pharmacy school. Faculty focus on teaching fundamental content in medicinal chemistry, cellular biology, physiology, microbiology and genetics.
Profession-based Experiences
Students have internship and job-shadowing opportunities at businesses such as SSM Health Medical Group, or one of four in-patient facilities in Maryville.
With more than 26 labs in the Garrett-Strong Science Building and $3 million invested in state-of-the-art equipment in the Dean L. Hubbard Center for Innovation, students get multiple hands-on experiences to ensure they are prepared for pharmacy school.
